Belchers are distinctive by their ability to project giant balls of flame when they ‘burp.’ These giant fireballs can be released as a very effective self defense mechanism, but more often than not erupt at regular intervals in order to release magical pressure that builds up from their diet of sap-enriched plants.
Forest Belchers are solitary creatures. Their frequent and violent gastro-intestinal fire belches do not lend themselves to socializing with others of their kind. Which is perfectly fine with them, for Belchers are selfish voracious eaters, often clearing an entire section of the forest in one meal.
