The second guide to appear on Twin Skies Planet for the second game released on Twin Skies. Fitting, no? Max VelDink takes you through Legends of Laundry, from modes to scores.

Introduction

The second game released on Twin Skies. It’s a puzzle game where you draw a line through laundry of the same color, not resembling much of anything. To play it, head on over to this location.

Flavor Text from Twin Skies

Legends of Laundry is set in the once-peaceful area of Four Farms - a farming community that has recently fallen under a rather nasty curse. Floating cows, scarecrows come to life, mischievous imps and angry rat men are among the problems the farmers have to face.

Seems the adventurers that have been helping out the farmers have been getting covered in all manner of gruesome stains. Impit ichor, smashed pumpkin, cowpats and more. Poor Elena Brooker the laundry girl could really do with some help. You look pretty handy with a scrubbing brush, so what are you waiting for, get to it!

Instructions

Using the mouse to scrub three or more of the same colored stains. To do this, simply click and drag your mouse from the starting point to the ending point, being careful not to touch any unwanted clothing or stray from the path you want to create. When you are at the last article of clothing in the line, simply release the mouse button.
Remember, you get more points for higher combinations of clothing, so try to find long paths in the laundry!

The Laundry

There are several different kinds of stains and special items that appear on the wash line throughout the game. Here’s a look at the different types.

picture-31 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink A regular purple shirt that can be combined with two or more articles of clothing with purple on them.

picture-4 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink A regular orange stain that can be combined with two or more articles of clothing with orange on them.

picture-5 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink A regular red stain that can be combined with two or more articles of clothing with red stains on them.

picture-6 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink An example of a piece of clothing with multiple stains. To remove it, create it in two different combinations, one with one color, the second combo with the other color.

picture-7 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink An example of an article of clothing found later in the game. It’s no different then the shirts, just match it with two or more articles of clothing with the same colored stain on them.

picture-8 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink Again, another example of an article of clothing found later in the game. Rinse and repeat. (See the humor I threw in there :))

picture-9 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink This is Sooty, Elena’s cat. If you wash him, he’ll fall off of the clothes line, taking all of the clothes underneath him with him.

picture-10 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink Apparently, careless people throw bombs in the wash basket. Why? That’s besides the point. After three turns, the bomb will explode, taking everything in the vicinity with it when it goes KABOOM!

picture-11 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink These are even more harmful objects that people just throw in the clothes basket. Darn kids! Anyways, these can’t be washed away, obviously, so the only way to move them is by blowing them to smithereens with, you guessed it, a bomb!

picture-12 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink Even in Twin Skies they have these vermin. It’s a Squirellapocalypse! Er, they are annoying either way, as they run around knocking down some of your laundry for a few seconds.

picture-13 Legends of Laundry Guide by Max VelDink Eww…The fungus is insanely annoying when it comes out. You better clean it off quickly, as it spreads throughout all of your clothing, which means wasted time trying to stop it!

Please note that not all of the colors of stains or the different articles of clothing are listed here, but they do all work the same. Match the same colored stains up and draw a path through them. Very simple.

The Modes

Survival Mode
This was the first mode introduced, released with the game. Survival mode is just that, can you keep cleaning clothes while a time limit is ticking? The main things about this mode is the time limit, which is refilled by one second for each article of clothing cleaned. So, since combos have to start at three clothes or more, every cleaning you receive three extra seconds.

Level Mode
Again, just as the title implies, this mode splits the game up into levels, which have a set amount of clothes that need to be cleaned in a certain amount of time. On the first level, you have to clean 10 clothes in 15 seconds. For each following level, 5 clothes are added to the amount you have to clean and 15 more seconds are added on. For example, level 2 is clean 15 clothes in thirty seconds and level 3 is clean 20 clothes in 45 seconds.

An important thing to note is even if you have all of the clothes washed that need to be, you won’t progress to the next level until the timer runs out. So feel free to get some bonus points by continuing to clean clothes. What level can you reach?

The Scoring System

The scoring for this game is a bit tricky, but also unnecessary to learn. For those of you mathematical geniuses who actually calculate all of their moves, this is for you. For the rest of you, I give you permission to skip this section.

A Combo of 3 - 20 pts
A Combo of 4 - 30 pts
A Combo of 5 - 40 pts
A Combo of 6 - 70 pts
A Combo of 7 - 100 pts
A Combo of 8 - 140 pts
A Combo of 9 - 180 pts
A Combo of 10 - 230 pts
A Combo of 11 - 270 pts
A Combo of 12 - 300 pts

These are the combos that I have experienced and documented. You can get a combo that is a lot higher, I know, but by the time you are pulling those off, points are going to be flowing like milk and honey. Different color stains might give you different amount of points, I haven’t figured out which ones give you more, if any.
