Big Changes are Afoot at Twin Skies

In a post by Adam, big changes will be coming to Twin Skies soon over the coming week in regards to the implementation of the accounts system (so you will be able to finally have your own account yay)! The post is replicated below:

Hey, so sorry about the lack of updates over the past few days, we’ve been busy working on something BIG, and we are hopefully going to launch it Monday or Tuesday.

So signup, login, logout, and a welcome page are all done. You can create a character, well, it’s sort of a temporary character until the 3D client is finished. All you probably need the character for is to reserve a name right now. Class, race and all that do nothing and you’ll be able to change them before the game is properly launched. You can’t gain levels or anything, the character is more of a forum avatar than anything else.

Achievements are done, we have around 7 to start with, they’re pretty and display in the side bar. Hiscore tables for games are done, you can submit scores, and earn Site Points (that name isnt good, its subject to change). You can’t spend points yet, but we’ll have a way nearer to the end of next week.

Om nom nom will launch in some capacity on Tuesday - we hope so anyway.

One big problem is the forums. Since we’re moving over to a completely new authentication system we may have to delete some posts and/or usernames. We’ll try as best as we can to make the transition as painless as possible, it’s just that it’s going to be a lot of work, and with PAX coming up we may not have a choice. It’s probably going to be messy…

So thanks for bearing with us, hopefully you’ll like what we have in store.

For the Horde!

Adam
