Shoal is the bestest of the bestest of the bestset
The town of Shoal has been officially released on Twin Skies with it now appearing on the Atlas pages.
Shoal was once a prosperous fishing village on the shores of the aptly named Shoal Lake. The locals made their living catching fish, selling fish, and drawing in tourists to see the fish.
Then the meteors came. A big fish-shaped meteor landed right in the middle of the lake, ruining a perfectly good day of fishing. At first, the locals were curious about this odd-looking rock, but that curiosity was put to rest when the fishermen were attacked by hordes of flying fish with sharp teeth and an unpleasant electrical discharge.
A few of the humans were given a message from the meteor itself: it proclaimed its name to be Calagat’cha, and henceforth, fishing would be forbidden in Shoal, under penalty of fish-induced electrocution. The villagers were a bit annoyed by this, but they decided to try producing another kind of food. Now they have fogu to eat, though many would rather risk being electrocuted than try some of the awful stuff.
