[edit] Quote

"A pirate you say? I don't even have a ship, how could I *possibly* be a pirate?" - Corvante, Corsair. Mistakenly Captured by Ninjas.

[edit] Description

Quick, smart, charming, brave, cunning... These are only a few of the words that corsairs will gladly use to describe themselves to anyone who will listen. If you give them half a chance, they'll also tell you how brilliant a shot they are with their handcrafted, personalised pistols or how many sword duels they've won with one, or more, hands tied behind their back.

The best Corsairs aren't just talk, they're also action. Very quick action. Sometimes very sneaky, underhanded, and not quite fair action: but it's hard to argue with results. Especially since there'll be no-one to argue with as the Corsair in question will be two towns over before you realise your wallet's been stolen.

[edit] Corsair Abilities

Astound your opponents with these dramatic and dangerous special abilities.

Dirty Trick: Who says it always has to be a fair fight?

Smoke Bomb: Disappear as dramatically as you arrived!

Double Cross: Strike with two swords at the same time... or cheat somebody. We haven't decided yet.

[edit] Notable NPCs

Here are some of the Corsair NPCs that you may meet in the world of Twin Skies.

The Swordmistress - Metallic weapons tend to do very poorly in the Rustwood, but leave it to the corsairs to find a viable alternative. The Swordmistress earned her name by letting her wooden blades do the talking. She may even be tempted to part with one or two... for a price.

[edit] A Corsair's Tale

"I was on my way back home from my latest adventure when I decided to take a shortcut through the Rustwood and almost immediately regretted my decision. For ahead of me, on the road, stood a band of bandits. Taking stock of the situation, I pulled out my blaster and saw, much to my horror, that the magic of the woods had rusted it down to a useless hunk of metal.

The bandits just laughed as I pulled out my cutlass, which was also rusted. Seeing this, I turned to run, but my belt buckle had rusted, resulting in my trousers falling down to my ankles, causing me to trip and fall on my face. Everything I had on my person was stolen by these woods people. So, you see, Your Honour, in a way, I'm just as much a victim as the people I robbed in the first place..."
