[edit] Quote

"Don't worry, everyone! I have complete control over all things plant-related!" - Prissa, apprentice floramancer, seconds before her Eleplant went on a rampage.

[edit] Description

Dedicated disciples in the ways of plant life and growth, a floramancers are one of the most versatile classes that Canopy Elves get to choose from. They can use their magic for creating sunlight, healing their allies, summoning pets made entirely of plants and leaves, or creating powerful potions from their knowledge of botany and herbalism. Not bad for someone who plays in the dirt and picks flowers all day!

Floramancers tend to be patient and nurturing, valuing life in all forms. Just don't call their summons weeds, or come too close with fire. Then there might be, uh, complications.

[edit] Floramancer Abilities

Wave your magical wooden staff and one or more of the following may occur...

Sunshine: Banish vampires, light up dark rooms or get a nice tan.

Summon Snapping Daisy: One of the more ferocious creatures that a floramancer can summon.

Entangle: Command shrubs and vines to constrict and slow your enemies.

Pollenate: Engulf your opponent in a cloud of a.. ahh.. *AH-CHOO*

[edit] Famous Floramancers

Here are some of the notable floramancers you will meet.

Samara Typha - She's the leader of Petiole Village, which is a small, but thriving, canopy elf settlement. On top of being a wise and trusted leader, she's one of the best floramancers alive. Younger elven students of the magic arts often flock to her home, looking for tips and lessons.

Begonia Dragora - Begonia's had a rough life. First, her family's estate was overrun with a mysterious blight. And now her dad's gone completely 'round the bend and has been discovered dabbling in the darker counterpart to floramancy known as bracken magic. But aside from her bumpy family life, she's a sweet girl with a real stubborn streak.

[edit] A Floramancer's Tale

"I was so excited when it looked like my snapping daisy pet dropped seeds and was making MORE snapping daisies. I didn't think any of the other floramancers had gotten their daisies to have babies. I was so sure they'd all be jealous.

But when I told the others about it, all of them looked at me strange and asked if I missed a page in our flora-training textbooks regarding raising our snapping daisies. And what do you know, I did! It seems that if you feed your daisy too many bunnyberries, it'll start to release seeds and multiply out of control. How was I supposed to know? He seemed so happy to be eating up those bowls of bunnyberries I'd leave out for him. I was sure they were his favourite food!

Of course, by the time I got home, before I even opened the door, I could hear dozens of little snapping jaws. Maybe HUNDREDS. Oops...?"
